Dear Carers,

Welcome to 2022!

I hope that the holidays have given you the opportunity to take a break, recharge and spend time with family and friends.

After the challenging year that we’ve had, there is no better time than now to focus on our wellbeing so we can all continue to flourish as we move forward. This could mean taking a break, making positive changes, or just remembering to be a little kinder to ourselves every day.

We have prepared a suite of wellbeing programs and activities which we hope will encourage you to consistently look after yourself, as you go about your caring role in the coming year. You can learn more about our wellbeing events and programs here.

One important aspect of wellbeing is taking time to recharge and reconnect with ourselves. If you are in need of a break, please reach out to us and we can arrange for replacement care or respite support to enable you to do so. Likewise, if you are looking to make some changes or set some personal goals for this year, we have carer coaches who are always ready to guide you through this process and can help you better identify areas in your like that you might like to improve on.

As we continue to navigate the current COVID-19 situation, our staff continue to work both from home and our offices, as we endeavour to deliver the same quality of support while also doing our part to keep everyone safe. Our group programs, wellbeing and social groups are being delivered both online and in person, and we encourage you to join us in however way you feel most comfortable.

Please do remember that we are always right here, walking alongside you as you go about your caring role. Should you need any assistance, please call us on (02) 6296 9900, email carers@carersact.org.au, or get in touch with your care planner who can directly assist you.

I wish each one of you all the very best, as we look forward to a better and brighter year ahead!
