Virtual Tours of the National Gallery of Australia
Now Accessible To All Carers
Do you like to visit the art gallery but can’t because of your caring responsibilities or mobility issues? …..then good news!
Carers ACT is excited to announce that we have teamed up with National Gallery of Australia, Canberra to bring ‘virtual tours’ of key exhibitions right into your living room! This new video initiative will make Australia’s national art treasures and international exhibitions accessible to not only ACT carers but carers throughout Australia.
First Virtual Tour – Sidney Nolan’s Ned Kelly
We recently recorded our first tour, with Senior Curator Dr Deborah Hart taking us through the 25 iconic Australian paintings in Sidney Nolan’s Ned Kelly series from 1946.
This tour is now available on our Facebook and YouTube pages and on our website here. We look forward to recording upcoming exhibitions at the Gallery.
